RailTraining GmbH imparts expertise in tank car technology to Chinese vocational school teachers on behalf of TÜV Nord

In a remarkable collaboration between RailTraining GmbH and TÜV Nord, a recent training session on tank car technology on rails took place. What was special, however, was not just thecontent of the training, but also the target audience: Chinese vocational school teachers aiming to integrate the topic of railways into their curriculum in all its facets.

Philip Krummradt, an experienced trainer from RailTraining GmbH, conducted the training and provided the teachers from China with comprehensive knowledge in the area of tank car technology.

The initiative arose from the need to enhance understanding of railway technology and safety standards in China. Given the continuously expanding railway network and the growing importance of rail transport in China, it is crucial that vocational school teachers possess in-depth knowledge to properly educate the next generation of professionals.

The training focused on various aspects of tank car technology, including maintenance, safety, inspection, and technical details. Through hands-on exercises and theoretical inputs, the Chinese teachers gained deep insights into the operation and function of tank cars on the rails.

State-of-the-art technology: Virtual tank car for training

As part of the training, RailTraining GmbH also offered the Chinese vocational school teachers the opportunity to participate in a virtual tour around the RailTraining training tank car. This innovative approach allowed participants to view the tank car from various angles and even virtually enter and climb on it.

Thanks to cutting-edge 3D simulation, the teachers were able to get a realistic impression of a tank car and its components without having to be physically present. "The use of 3D technology was fantastic," said Philip Krummradt. "It allowed participants to apply what they learned in an interactive environment and get an even better understanding of a tank car and how it works."

In the future, the trained teachers will use their acquired knowledge to prepare their students for a career in tank car technology, thus making a significant contribution to the advancement of Chinese railway systems.
