Additional Training for Passenger Coaches with Automatic Load Braking IV

The magnetic track brake (MG brake) is a safety-relevant braking system used in modern passenger rail transport. This additional training provides the necessary expertise on the function, inspection and maintenance of this specialized braking technology. The course is designed for qualified maintenance personnel who wish to expand their knowledge in the field of magnetic track brakes.

  • Wheel and rail brakes
  • Basic physics principles
  • MG brake components
  • Inspection of the MG brake
  • Troubleshooting
  • Additional brake markings
  • Relevant regulations

To deepen the practical understanding, the seminar includes hands-on training directly on various vehicles or their components. The focus is on safe, regulation-compliant maintenance through practical learning.

    Staff who are supposed to carry out Br0 and Br1 independent brake inspections on long-distance coaches of the passenger coach type
  • Admission Requirements:
    Staff who already have basic training as a brake fitter for passenger coaches, such as VRT 901 or 902
  • Duration:
    5 days, 8 learning units of 45 minutes
  • Participants:
    maximum 5 participants
