Annual Refresher Training for Certified Brake Maintainers on Ancillary Vehicles
The annual refresher training for brake technicians working on auxiliary vehicles is mandatory under ECM requirements and serves to maintain the license of qualified maintenance personnel. This course is aimed at already certified professionals who must regularly refresh their knowledge and stay up to date with current regulations and technical standards.
Course contents:
- Occupational safety, especially conduct in track areas
- Updates to guidelines and regulatory frameworks
- Current technical and safety-related developments
- General updates in the maintenance of auxiliary vehicle brakes
The specific course content is updated annually to reflect the latest standards and technical developments. The goal is to ensure participants’ operational confidence and continuous compliance with ECM requirements.

- Target Group:
Staff who are already trained brake fitters for rail vehicles, but who, according to Entities in Charge of Maintenance (ECM) must document training every year. Interested staff at the maintenance level, such as supervisors, foremen, work preparation, and individuals who are authorised to enable operations are also welcome. - Admission Requirements:
Staff who already have valid basic training in ‘braking on rail vehicles’. Other interested parties will not need any prerequisites - Duration:
1 day of theory and practice, 8 learning units of 45 minutes each. - Participants:
maximum 5 participants -
