Cargo Stabilisation Pursuant to German Engineering Association Guideline 2700a

Training in load safety according to VDI guideline 2700a for loaders, professional drivers, and responsible persons, is particularly important for all persons in the transport industry. It provides relevant and helpful knowledge from theory and practice.

Below you will find our range of topics for this training.

Dangers posed by inadequately secured cargo are often not acknowledged. Improperly secured goods could be damaged. In addition, there is a risk that the center of gravity of the vehicle could change due to the shifting of improperly secured cargo, which could result in traffic accidents.

Helpful and relevant knowledge about professional transport securing according to VDI guideline 2700 a will be taught in this seminar, taking into account the topics:

  • Legal basis of cargo stabilisation
  • Physical basics of cargo stabilisation
  • Transport vehicle/container requirements
  • Types of cargo stabilisation
  • Lashing and aids
  • Necessary backup forces
  • Practical exercises

To consolidate the seminar, practical exercises on the subject of cargo stabilisation will be carried out in accordance with German Engineering Association guideline 2700a.

The VDI Guidelines for Load Safety (VDI 2700) have been in place since 2004 and form the guideline for professional drivers, vehicle owners, freight forwarders, haulage contractors, loading personnel, judges, police officers and other professional groups.

VDI 2700a is a special feature. It is not a part of the basics in load safety, but a training in which the participants learn which legal regulations are relevant. Technical and physical aspects of load safety are also taught.

Additonal or different topics are possible by arrangement.
